FICS THAT I’M READING:

Lexa and Clarke don’t really fancy each other much. One of them is cold and rude, the other is sarcastic and imposing.

 Throw in a group assignment, two very different reactions to break-ups and Raven and Octavia’s terrible advice, and you got yourself a recipe for disaster.

 Or maybe something else entirely?


“We’ll just act…” her eyes flicker to Clarke’s shining lips and she feels her voice crack slightly, “normal.”

“Right,” Clarke’s words are only a little breathy, “so… no fucking.”

In which Clarke and Lexa end up stuck spending Christmas together with both of their families, desperately trying to hide the fact that they’ve been having sex for five months. It doesn’t help that Lexa is the biggest Grinch in the world and Clarke is determined to make her enjoy the holidays.


Clarke needs someone to help with gas money. Lexa needs a ride home. They both need a way to escape. Clearly, a road trip across the country is the only solution.

Clarke keeps being haunted by dreams about a lover she does not recall ever having had.

When her friends plan a Halloween trip to an old abandoned house, Clarke feels herself going crazy at all the horrors only she seems able to see — and a connection only she will be able to make.


“The locals aren’t fans of college kids. This is their neighborhood bar. They can get…territorial.”

Clarke studies the girl who stopped the fight before it began. Leaning back in her chair in the back of the bar, she’s all dark hair and dark eyeliner and dark alcohol. Clarke can see what he’s saying: the glare etched into her face is a clear warning for anyone who might step forward to her.

But the vodka has thinned Clarke’s blood; she’s always been brazen and right now she can’t take that warning as anything less than a challenge.

She grabs Octavia’s wrist and pulls her forward. “C’mon.”

Lexa needs an accompanist for her senior showcase, and it looks like Clarke is the only one for the job.

Maybe it’s because she not a student, or maybe it’s because she’s an avid tea drinker, but she doesn’t really understand the hype, if she’s being totally honest. Coffee smells bad, even doused in whipped cream and sugary syrups and flavoured dusting powder. A small cup of coffee at the Grind costs almost twice as much as a cup of tea, because the coffee is “artisanal”, though Lexa knows for a fact that there’s nothing special about the beans they use for the house blend.

But despite that, the Grind has a steady flow of regular customers, all with a loyal attachment to a particular order. After a month, Lexa is able to recognise them all.

As a barista at the local coffee shop in a small college town, Lexa gets to know her customers pretty well. New faces are rare, until one day a blonde with bags under her eyes and a stack of medical books walks into the Grind, and Lexa finds herself wanting to know more about her.


That meet-ugly where you had my car towed so I keyed your car in retaliation but you caught me.

Or Lexa gets increasingly more frustrated at having her parking spot stolen and finally does something about it.


Lexa swore she was a good driver. However, the number of times she failed her test say otherwise.

But technically it’s not her fault, she blames her hot driving instructor.


The one where Lexa just had surgery and she’s so high on pain medicine she forgot who Clarke was.


Clarke tries to keep it together when her high school crush ends up as her next patient. Sometimes being a gynecologist is just plain awkward.

“You going for the Arkers, then?” comes a voice to Clarke’s left. An amused challenge.

Clarke opens her mouth to reply, glances over, and is lost for words.

She’s long-limbed and graceful, and she wears a baseball cap backwards over a mane of curls. Her eyes, which are fixed upon Clarke’s, are a curious blend of green and grey. Wow, Clarke thinks, she’s absurdly good-looking.

Clarke rushes forward and pushes at the machine door, hoping it will somehow fix everything. All it does is make an alarming groaning sound and her foot slips on the wet floor, making her land painfully on her knees and completely soak her jeans.

Just when she thinks things can’t possibly get any worse, she hears the door to the laundromat open, and looks up in a frenzy to see a girl stood in the doorway, staring at Clarke with a look of confused horror.

‘I can explain,’ is all Clarke says.

New to Seattle, Lexa is still getting the hang of all this rain. But there’s always the cute blonde barista there to brighten up her day.


“I think,” says Raven, “that if you love somebody as much as you love Clarke, you should tell them. She deserves to know. And if it all goes wrong, I’ll commandeer a car and we can move to Iceland under new identities. We’ll adopt a dog, open a coffee shop, buy an apartment. You can sing on the streets, I’ll charge people to get you to stop.”

“You’re right,” says Lexa suddenly. She pauses. “About telling her, not the Iceland thing.”

“Well, I am sitting on the floor of an elevator that’s stuck ten floors up. I would say that my mind isn’t the strongest right now.”

After a long tiring day at work Clarke is disappointed to come home to a messy house however her mood is soon lifted.


When a very pregnant Clarke hasn’t responded to any of Lexa’s calls or messages all day Lexa sends Octavia to check on her.

clarke’s heart hammers in her chest as she takes dany into her arms, “what’s going on with her?”
(panicking is the last thing she should be doing, because it doesn’t help her focus, it doesn’t help her think of the things she knows that could be wrong with their daughter.)
lexa stills, and her eyes are sharp as she looks up at clarke, “did you let her go outside today?” blue eyes widen and that’s enough of a response for the commander. “clarke, I told you she couldn’t go outside!”


Lexa and Clarke have been dating on the Ark for almost a year when Jake is floated and Clarke arrested. The string of events that follow will change the two girls forever.


Prisoner 319 – Clarke Griffin – became a symbol to the government because of her father’s beliefs about the freedom of information. Jake Griffin wished to inform the general population of the Ark’s failing systems and the growing concern over the oxygen filtration and replenishment machines. To silence him the Ark took away his life, and imprisoned his daughter for her part in his plans.


The Earth is yet again a ticking time bomb, and there’s only one place left for a desperate Commander to turn for help.

Now that she is standing in front of her, Clarke realizes what a fool she was to think that she could ever move on, that she could ever forget.

As Lexa walks past, giving the dog a wide berth, she spots a figure beside it. A girl with braided blonde hair stretches out on the park bench, fingers tangled in the dog’s thick fur. She frowns softly. Usually the homeless people Lexa sees are older males with scruffy beards, tugging shopping carts filled with cans. But this girl on the bench, her golden hair streaming over her back, looks so out of place that Lexa almost stops. Most homeless tend to stay near the city, yet here she is, in the middle of the forest.

Five years after their relationship’s end, college sweethearts Lexa and Clarke find themselves in the same city again. Now, they are different people with different lovers and different lives, but neither ever fully let the other go. Will what they once had still be all they are looking for, or is it finally time to truly let go and move on?

“I’m so sorry, I should have had my head up.” Clarke held her hand down to the brunette, but there was no response from her. She waved her hand around for a moment until-
Oh. Oh. She just knocked over a blind woman.

Lexa Woods has now been blind for 3 years. Her and her girlfriend Clarke are celebrating 4 years together and Lexa isn’t going to hold anything back. Neither will Clarke.


Clexa college!AU: in which Clarke grows tired of hearing Octavia and Lincoln’s escapades in the next room, so Lincoln offers her his apartment for study. He fails to mention his heavily tattooed hockey player roommate in the process.


Clarke works at the mall and has an unlikely savior in the form of it’s mascot - Happy the Bear.

Lexa doesn’t hate her job, but she certainly doesn’t like it. At least, not until the girl from the food court starts giving her free food and drinks.


The first time it happened was totally accidental.

The third time it happened it was definitely still Octavia’s fault.

By the fifth time, Clarke couldn’t really pretend that she wasn’t… orchestrating this in some way.

“Again, Ms. Griffin?”

Clarke grinned and stood from the floor. “Lexa I think we can cut the formalities. It’s been like… a half dozen times you’ve let me into my room. You can call me Clarke. We’re there in our relationship, I think.”

Clarke has a missing room key and a very forgetful roommate, and she finds herself frequently locked out of her own bedroom. Lexa works for the Campus Police and she finds herself outside Clarke’s bedroom door an unusually frequent amount of times to let her in.


Monty needs a prom date. Clarke has a poster. Except, her poster doesn’t quite reach its intended audience.

“Lexa stares at Clarke for a moment. She swallows thickly, and is that Lexa Woods losing her nerve?”


Clarke is not particularly a big fan of flowers. I know this better than anyone, having witnessed her throw out several bouquets and coming home almost rudely early from the dates that had gotten them for her. So one might understand my surprise when I get home to our shared apartment and there’s a beautiful flower bouquet in an even prettier vase sitting on our coffee table, right in the middle of the living room.
